The Police Officer Impeachment Act (Petition) - Liberty Crier

We, the undersigned, demand that you, our state legislators, create a system that allows “we the people” to impeach police officers who we feel are unfit for public service.

We will no longer tolerate a “thin blue line” or a “police brotherhood” that works to serve the police departments best interests over the best interests our communities. We are the masters, not our government servants and we demand recognition as such.

We require that a system of redress of grievances of and for the people, be put into place and that will have absolute authority over who can and cannot be a police officer in our community streets. Our authority will know no bounds and we will have dominion over all positions and levels of those who work in the police department.

We require a system that will allow us to remove a member of the police force FOR ANY REASON we deem fit, so long as a sufficient number of persons in our community agree that it is in the communities best interest.

Having a job with the police department the ability to enforce our communities laws onto the members of our community is not a protected right but a privilege that can only be maintained with the will and blessings of the community that a police officer works within.
