Who's to blame for murders?
January 6, 2013 Gun's are a tool for...
Nancy Lanza, mother of shooter Adam Lanza, is being blamed for her son's actions because she had a gun collection and took Adam target shooting. (He shot and killed her before he went on his rampage in the Connecticut elementary school.)
Adam had Asperger's. People with this disorder are not normally violent. They're often highly intelligent. He was 20 years old and trained, I'm sure, in gun safety. His mother's brother is a police captain in New Hampshire. He wasn't a 2-year-old whose mother would have to take extraordinary measures to keep him away from her guns.
And there's this:
This is from the New York Post. "An Oklahoma high school student is in custody on charges he plotted to bomb and shoot students at the Bartlesville HS auditorium the same day 26 people were shot and killed at an elementary school in Connecticut."
I checked it on local Net news sources. Chavez's rampage wasn't going to be a copy-cat action. These two guys were independently planning massacres for the same day. It doesn't mention whether this kid, Sammy Eaglebear Chavez, was an Internet buddy of Adam's. If they did not know one another, it's a very strange coincidence.
Was Adam receiving psychotropic drugs for his Asperger's? Which drugs? Who was treating him? They were able to stop Chavez's planned massacre because he was blathering about it to everyone in his school. Was Chavez on psychotropic drugs? Was he under treatment? By whom?
This is too much coincidence for me to swallow. Does someone really want gun control so bad that they're manipulating repeated slaughters of innocents? Is it a coincidence that usually most of the victims are white? Everyone knows what Lanza looks like by now. There's sort of a weird facial resemblance between the two.
Loving Mother?
Adam's mother was not joined at the hip with him as recent news reports have suggested. According to one report she only slept outside his room sporadically, when he requested it. She would also occasionally go to a neighborhood bar for a few drinks.
I just read in the NY Post (12/20/12) that she had been away for two days, prior to his meltdown, on a "mini-vacation." Was she alone? Could she have been lured away?
"Nancy Lanza checked into the Omni Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, NH, at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday and left around the same time Thursday. The drive is about four and a half hours, so she would have arrived back home in Newtown late in the afternoon or early evening."
Since he was isolated from the rest of the house and probably had his own entrance in the basement, he might often have had visitors without her knowledge. No one knows whether he was alone for the two days she was away.
Given her anxiety about her son, I think she probably did lock up her guns. But this was a brilliant guy. He could have watched her open the lock and memorized the combination. Or he could have picked the lock.
When Facebook cancels the accounts of people discussing the shootings, something stinks.
